China Unicom’s Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Hub Shaoguan Data Center is one of the first projects to launch under the National Computing Hub initiative in the Greater Bay Area. The project covers an area of approximately 100 acres, with a total construction area of 120,000 square meters. It is designed to deploy 28,800 standard 2.5KW racks and incorporates several low-carbon technologies, including magnetically levitated variable frequency centrifugal compressors. Positioned as a national-level computing network core node, the data center will support critical functions such as international internet gateways and communication cloud hub nodes.
